Welcome back to Day 2 of Growing in Unity! :) Do you know that Unity has very high quality red rubber that's perfect for stamping?

First up, a few stamps from a grab bag that I received recently.

I stamped the borders in different colors of Hero Arts Shadow Ink and created a background with it. Then I stamped the cupcakes on white cardstock, colored them with some distress markers and cut them out. Don't they just look delicious - just like they are on a shelf of a bakery? :)

 Next some banners and buttons!

I wanted to use this stamp differently so I stamped it in different inks and cut them. Since I had plenty of buttons to spare - it was the perfect embellishment to decorate my card. I love the sentiment - don't you? :)

Now, it's time for a GIVEAWAY!

WOW! It's my first day being the Growing in Unity girl and I am excited! :) If you don't already know, I'm a big fan of Unity and have folders of red rubber at home.  I just LOVE Unity!

First of all, THANK YOU for dropping by. I have plenty to show this week so let's get started :)

From the recent Unity sales, I got some Phyllis Harris stamps and they are gorgeous!

I LOVE coloring her and she's just so big and pretty! I used distress ink on the background and colored her in with some distress markers.

Next up, some embossed flowers with some distress markers!

The rage right now is the watercolor emboss resist effect. So I just had to try it :) Stamped up some gorgeous Unity flowers and colored them in with distress markers. The background too! Then I stamped some vintage script as well.

If you missed out on the previous sales, do not fret. Unity has a sale going on right now [and ending today!]. This is your chance to go stock up. So start shopping! :)

Here's Iris looking perfect while showing us some techniques using mixed media! :)

And here's some of the things I made in the class. Pretty, don't you think? :)

And guess what? I finally got my hands on the Tim Holtz distress paints!!

I tested it right away making a title card for my Week 16 of Project Life.  I just dabbed some paint on my craft mat and spritzed some water on it - then I just swipe the card onto it! :) Don't you think the colors are so so pretty?

Should I get more colors? :)

Following from my feathers craze (click here for some feather freebies), I had to make something with a feather. And guess what is in my favorite red rubbers collection? A big big feather stamp from the Tail Feather kit! <3!

Here's my take on it.

I stamped the ink in black ink and then colored it in with some distress markers. The sentiment comes along with the kit too.

Have a happy weekend ... and shake a tail feather!! :)

It  has been raining cats and dogs for the past few days here and boy, am I glad it's the weekend! It's time to do some scrappy and since there's so much rain - I just had to do a card with rain! :)

The umbrella and the sentiment is from the "Heart Times" kit by Unity Stamp - which I paper pieced it including the hearts. :) The drops of rain I had cut them out of my glitter tape.

Now all I need to do is crawl under a blankie and drink a warm cup of chocolate!

Happy Weekend!

Although it's summer all year round here, many places are celebrating spring. Spring brings colors, life, energy, joy and lots of fun! Especially when it comes to scrappy scrappy.

Spring also means lots of flowers so today, I'd like to show you how to make some paper flowers using your scraps.

Yups! These are made from scraps. Here's how to make them.

1. Cut 2 pieces of 12"x1" patterned paper & punch a circle of the size that you like. Here I am using 1 1/2".

2. Then use your favorite border punch for the two strips of paper.

3. Put some adhesive on the back of the strips and begin your flower assembly by just going around the circle piece - folding as you go.

4. Finish the flower with a pearl (or any embellies that you like)!

Now you don't have to throw away those scraps that you have and start making some flowers :) If you want a smaller flower, punch out a smaller circle base and you can even use just one strip of paper.

I made a card just for Spring and embellished it with one of the paper flowers I made. The sentiment is from Unity Stamp Party All day set.

Have a great weekend ahead!

From last year's Webster's Pages warehouse sale - I have gotten myself a big box of goodies. I'm not kidding when I said it was big. In it, there were 5 packs of designer trims. Have you got plenty of trims and don't know what to do? Well, just make something scrappy with it then :)

If you don't know, Simon Says Stamp is celebrating their 4th birthday! Wow. 4 years already? A big Happy Birthday to you!!

So what perfect timing but to make a card to celebrate with some of my favorite Webster's Pages goodies, right? Here's the card I made. :)

I've used 3 different trims at the top of the card, with a pretty background paper. I added a pink ballerina journal card at the side with a tag. The tag is a stamp from the Girl Land collection that I inked up with some Butterbar ink. Don't you think the star push pin is just cute?

Let's celebrate good time, come on! :)
