Scrappy Update!
I've been really busy over the weekends. With what? A scrappy class! :)
Who is Iris Babao Uy?
IRIS BABAO UY is a designer based in The Philippines who specializes in teaching classes that marries the beauty of mixed media with traditional scrapbooking. Iris is known for her shabby chic and romantic style but also enjoys working with bold patterns and striking colors. She is currently a designer and a certified educator for Webster’s Pages.
She has previously designed also with Basic Grey, Hambly Screen Prints, Fancy Pants, October Afternoon, and was also named as one of the first two Prima Masters. Currently she is also a part of the team behind Aussie Scrap Source and The Color Room (both Australian based).
Iris’ work has been published many times in international magazines and is a regular contributor to Creating Keepsakes Magazine (U.S.). Here's Iris looking perfect while showing us some techniques using mixed media! :)
And here's some of the things I made in the class. Pretty, don't you think? :)
And guess what? I finally got my hands on the Tim Holtz distress paints!!
I tested it right away making a title card for my Week 16 of Project Life. I just dabbed some paint on my craft mat and spritzed some water on it - then I just swipe the card onto it! :) Don't you think the colors are so so pretty?
Should I get more colors? :)
