Chinese Lunar New Year Firecracker with SVG Attic
Happy Monday.
Since Chinese Lunar New Year is this weekend, I made a large firecracker on the SVG Attic blog using the JGW Patriotic Celebration kit.
Usually for the New Year, we have firecrackers (and oranges too amongst many things!) and this was just perfect as a decor in our home.
I found some Valentine paper that actually had some oriental pattern to it and used it for my firecracker, along with some stickers with gold foil. The 福 word is a common Chinese character during the Lunar New Year, which means blessing, fortune, good luck and happiness.
Here's an upclose of the large firecracker!
Thanks for stopping by and to those who are celebrating the Chinese Lunar New Year, wishing you a Gong Xi Fa Cai!

I know this is random, but I was watching one of your Unity Stamp Co. videos the other evening while laying in bed. As soon as you started speaking my husband perked up and leaned over to watch with me. It was weird, he doesn't normally watch crafting videos. So at the end he said, "what's this girls name?" When I responded with you name he smiled and said "I bet she is Singaporean." So I told him I would ask you. My husband is Malaysian, and one of his best friends is Singaporean.
ReplyDeleteHey hi Merika. Haha. That is really funny..... sorry to disappoint your hubby but, I'm a Malaysian! Hahha. I didn't know I sounded Singaporean lol! :)
