Hello!

 I am back with another Christmas project on the Trendy Twine's blog today.

Christmas is just a week away and I know some of us are wrapping up some last minute Christmas presents. Well, I did mine with a little help from this month's Color of the Month twine: Peppermint Stick!

Here's a peek of how my Christmas presents look like this year! I chose these purple/blue/white wrapping papers from Typo and did my best to make them look presentable. Psssttt, I'm not the best "wrapper" in town :)

Then to hold everything together, I tied all my presents up using the Peppermint Stick twine. Don't you think it just adds to the wrapping? I love that it's not bulky as well, just gives a light fine touch.

I also made some Christmas gift tags out of kraft paper. I stenciled some patterns using Nuvo Glimmer Paste and Glitterific paints. Then I added snowflakes using my Gelly Roll white pen. I grabbed some brush markers I had and wrote "Merry Christmas". Then, just use the same twine to tie the tag with some bunny ears and it's done!

Now let's see the card I created for this hop!

There are so many elements in this card, so let's start with the cute stamps. I combined Avery Elle's "Peek-a-boo pals" and Newton's Nook Designs "Cup of Cocoa" stamps sets and colored them with Copic markers. You just need to stamp the coffee cups on a masking sheet or scrap piece of paper to help mask it off before you stamp the cute animals. I also stamped out the cute sentiment from Kat Scrappiness "Naughty Christmas" stamp set.

Then it's time to create the background!

I used Thermoweb Gina K Designs Blizzard foil-mates background with the Fancy Foils in sprakling silver, ran it through my Heidi Swapp minc machine to create the glittery foiled snowflakes. Then I die cut the Kat Scrappiness "Pine tree border die" and inked it up using Tim Holtz distress oxide ink [Broken China]. To create the glittery snow, I used Brutus Monroe Glitter Glaze [Unicorn Horn] along with Tonic Studios Nuvo glimmer paste [Moonstone]

For my card, I used Pink and Main's Gingerbread stamp set, colored them with Copic markers. Then I added Nuvo Glimmer Paste [moonstone] for the glittery snow.  I also used some foiled patterned paper to add to the glitz.

Then for the twine, I tied them into little cute bows first before adhering them onto my candies with some Thermoweb mixed media adhesive. It clears dry, so no worries of any adhesive peeking through :)

For my first card, I am using the "So Grateful" kit by Lisa Glanz, isn't the girl just so pretty and how cute is that dog? 

I wanted to create a scene for her, like she's walking her dog in her neighborhood - so I inked up some clouds in the background using Simon Says Stamp stencil {Cloud for Days} and Tim Holtz Distress Oxide {Tattered Rose}.  I also added the Lawn Fawn Picket Fence Border die.

For the sentiment, I created the border using the "Rectangle Scalloped", stamping it with some Delicata Golden Glitz ink, then fussy cutting it.

Next is this cute "Tuxedo Bunny", which I colored with Copic markers then "masked" it using Nuvo Cyrstal Glaze. I love this glaze! Once it's dried, it's time to create the rainbow dotted background with Tim Holtz Distress Oxide inks {Picked Raspberry/Squeezed Lemonade/Cracked Pistachio/Wilted Violet/Broken China}. I also added some Nuvo drop {Simply White}.

This next set "Fall Breeze Bright Leaves" is just SOOO cute, I LOVE it so so much! 

I colored the background using Prima Pastel Dream Watercolors and also added some Unity Stamp Aurora Sequins.

For the bunny, I decided to pop him up on a DIY action wobble I made so that he can go "boing boing boing" :)

And now, time for some Christmas card!

This cute kit "Snow, Snow Cute" is just too adorable not to get. I stamped both the snowman on a piece of cardstock and cut in so that it is in one piece. Before adhering them down, I added some "snow" in the background using Tim Holtz Stencil and Distress Oxide ink {Broken China}.

After adhering the snowman, snowflake and sentiment on my card, it's time to add some glittery snow using Nuvo Glimmer Paste {Moonstone}. I also added some Unity Stamp Aurora Borealis sequins to the glimmer paste (while it is still wet).

 This next Christmas kit "Twas the Night" has got to be my FAVORITE! It looked like they are home, just decorating the tree for Christmas, so I watned to create a fun background for them.

I added a thin layer of the Nuvo Glimmer Paste {Moonstone} to my card with my TCW Stencil {Bricks}. Now, it's time to create some custom colored glimmer paste using Dylusions ink {Vibrant Turquoise/London Blue}. You can also use watercolors, distress inks, color burst... anything that you have!

Finally, I added some Nuvo Drop {Bright Gold} to the ornaments on the tree.

This next kit "Wonderland" features another cute snowman and birdie and I wanted a Winter Wonderland shimmery background for my card. I grabbed my Gina K Designs Fancy Foils {Sparkling Silver} and using my Thermoweb Tape Runner XL to add the foil to my card WITHOUT any laminator/foiling machines! So cool right?

I wanted a fun background for him, so I used some of my scrap Amy Tangerine Patterned Papers, cut them into 0.5" strips and weaved them all together! Watch the video and see how easy it is! :)

For the first card, I used this cute kitty cat from the the Cat's Meow set. This is perfect for cat lovers! I created a polaroid frame by cutting a rectangle piece of cardstock, then using a square die from the Never Ending square die from Kat Scrappiness. EASY peezy!

Then just color, stamp and add some Unity Stamp Aurora sequins - coz I love my bling! :)

Not forgetting the dog lovers, this "Loyally Yours" stamp set is just so cute! I wanted to give it a cool and interesting background so I applied some Nuvo Glimmer Paste [Pink Opal] onto some silver metallic cardstock -- and wa-lah! Shine + Glimmer = Awesomeness! Haha. :)

And finally this cute "Jolly Ol' Santa" for those who want to start their Christmas cards early. I know some of us may be making TONS of cards for the holiday, so you wouldn't want to be spending crazy amount of time on each one -- so here is a SUPER simple tip. Add cotton balls as snow! :)

For my first card, I am using the new Cuddlebug Dragon. I feel that if you're a Game of Thrones (GOT) or How to Train your Dragon fan, this would be perfect for you! It's cute and not overly scary. 

I stamped the dragon on my new Strathmore Toned Gray paper and colored it in using Prismacolor colored pencils. What's great about using pre-colored paper, is that I didn't need to color in the entire image! Plus, the paper has these really cool fibers in it that adds interest to the card.

For my next card, I used the new Cuddlebug Sea Turtles; which are just so darn cute! Every cuddlebug is just so much fun. So, as you can see, I had lots of white space to fill up and instead of coloring in the space, I dotted small dots with my Tombow dual brush marker pens. You could use any markers that you have for this technique. Just a fun way to color in your image.

The new Cuddlebug Otter is also just SO CUTE, I made some water swirls for him to swim in :)

I used my Tonic Studios Nuvo drops (jewel, glitter, crystal) to just swirl the colors in. Really easy peezy!

And for my final card of the day, I used the freebie of this week called Patience and Love. Seriously, this is my FAVORITE! Way TOO cute! :) I colored in the quilt for the entire family using my Copic markers, then added stars and lots of sparkles with Tonic Studios Nuvo Glimmer Paste [moonstone].

This brand new "Gardenia Floral Border" kit by Graciellie is just perfect for Bible journaling. I stamped it on some vellum, then colored/blended it using my Tombow markers. What I love bout these markers are the colors are very vibrant, although they are water-based markers. Psssttt, these stamps would be great for home decors, cards, scrapbooking ... The possibilities are endless!

Oh oh! If you love the Cuddlebug series by Tierra Jackson, she has some new ones this week! Here is the Cuddlebug Caterpillar, which kinda reminded me of the caterpillar form Alice in Wonderland. So... I doodled in the mushroom beneath him (Yups, I drew that and you can too!) and watercolored it in.

And here's another cute one by Tierra Jackson, the Cuddlebug Bee. I created some honeycomb for him using the Tim Holtz Sizzix alterations framework. LOVE this die! I die cut the different inserts from patterned paper and holographic cardstock but you can even use this die to cut even glass sheets!

Need a quick card? I created this with the "Happy Moments" kit by Graciellie and some new colors of Dylusions Ink Sprays.  Just a few spritzes and done! :) I also added some gold metallic shimmer with Spectrum Noir sparkle pen.

And since Easter is coming soon, here's a cute bunny set called "Good Days" by Tierra Jackson with cute chickies! :) I know how intimidating CAS cards are because of all the white space, so I just added some sequins for the border to give it some color.  Worried on coordinating the colors of your sequins? Just get the ready-mixed packs offered by many companies out there now. Easy peezy! I am using the Easter Egg Hunt sequin mix by Kat Scrappiness.

And I did mention a FREEBIE right? Here's the beautiful stamp called "Done in Love". It's so pretty!

I did an ombre glitter background using the Nuvo Glimmer Paste. It's like butter, just spread it on and let it dry. PSsttttt, it dries really quick too! No need to wait for hours, just a few minutes! Then I created a frame using the Never Ending Rectangle die by Kat Scrappiness from white cardstock using nesting dies so that it will not cover up all the glitter beauty :)
