I cannot believe that 2012 had gone by so fast! In just few days time, it's going to be a brand new year. So here's a card to celebrate the new year (hehe!) :)

I have used white embossing powder for the Quatrefoil background and colored it in using Distress Markers. The wine glasses & the sentiment are from the "Let's get tipsy" itty bitty. I also have used the Amy Tangerine ribbon and some washi at the bottom.

I loved the outcome of the background so much that I had to do another card, this time with clear embossing powder. This time I used Authentique "Happy to be me" stamp and the sentiment is from the "Party all day" set with some hand-cut balloons.

So, here's wishing you a Happy 2013!! Have a great year ahead.

I've been busy preparing for Christmas - presents, cookies, tree and scrappy-ing ! Here's some of the things I did :)

[Warning: This is a very long post filled with scrappy scrappy!]

I just got my free set of "snowflake kisses" from Unity and it's the best snowflakes stamps ever! So I took out my Hero Arts inks and started stamping away.

Here's a present wrapped with my homemade wrapping paper! :)

Talking about presents, if you want to make some last minute gifts, this tutorial by Lowri McNabb (Papervinenz) is awesome! I even made two - just by using two 12x12 sheets of paper!

While I was at it, I decided to decorate our home with some scrappy goodness :) First up, I decorated a plain old white box into this!

Doesn't it make you want to drink a cup (of happy)? :) Next up, some Christmas ornaments. I stamped some gingy girl & boy using the "Better not pout" itty bitty stamp.

Then I strung them up with twine to make these!

Then I made these!! :) The best way to mix Christmas collections from various scrappy brands. Here's the link to the tear drop ornament tutorial by PaperHaus. Go to page 34-35.

Last but not least, I made gingerbread men today! Totally inspired by the stamp I used earlier. :)

Wishing all of you a Merry and Blessed Christmas! May this season of joy bring happiness to you as we also remember our dear Lord Jesus who was born on this special day.

Recently, I got hitched and what's a wedding without some scrappy goodness right? So, I turned to my trusty Unity stamps to do the magic. Here's what I came up with according to our color theme (purple/green)!

No, not a starbucks gift card. :) I had some gifts and wanted some pretty simple cards to write a note in. So I took out my new "Insightful Meadows" stamp by Donna Downey along with some Unity sentiments, added some twine and... wa-lah!

Came out pretty don't you think? :) That's what I love about Unity stamps.

Sentiments used: Party all day / Bitty thank you
Ink used: Hero Arts Shadow ink bubblegum, wet cement, soft pool
Twine used: Divine twine cotton candy, lemon

So I had some gifts to give out and with all the gorgeous Unity stamps I have, I decided to make some thank you tags of my own. I have some pretty kraft tags and knew which stamps I would love to use.

Here they are!

I inked the "Dream big" stamp for the gorgeous butterflies with some Hero Arts shadow ink (Cup O Joe). Even cut some of them up to pop them up with some foam adhesive to give it some dimension. Then I used the "thank you" itty bitty for the sentiment with Hero Arts shadow ink (Wet cement).

Isn't those butterflies pretty?

Well, to get some Unity goodness, they are having a sale over the weekend. Here's the scoop!

Here's my first ever step-by-step scrappy DIY tutorial. I wanted some pom pom ribbon bows and it was quite pricey to buy since I needed more than 10 of them. So, I decided to make some of my own! It's so cute I had to share it on how it's actually not so complicated to make.

Cost of ready made pom pom ribbon bow = $2.50
Cost of 1 roll of ribbon (which I made 10 pom pom of it!) = $2.50
Value for money = Definitely!

Hope this DIY tutorial helps you in saving some money too.
Feel free to leave a comment if you need any explanation on any of the steps. Happy scrappy! :)

I'm not sure if this is their first time doing it, but I couldn't find any references to any previous warehouse sale box by Basic Grey. So this is a good time to splurge for Basic Grey if you are a fan. A box full of Basic Grey goodies (worth $115) for only $38! According to their FB page, no one box is alike. For US Shipping, it's $9.95 but if you buy more than one, it's FREE. For international shipping, it's about $50 (not sure if you buy more than a box, how's the shipping like though).

Updates [02 Nov 2012]:
1. Yes, this is the first ever BG warehouse box sale! It will consist of over 50 pieces of paper, stickers, embellies.. even from the "What's Up" collection.
2. No two boxes are alike
3. International shipping is charged per box. No free shipping if you order more than 1 box.

*I am glad I got a box!* :)

I just got some red rubber from Unity and just had to ink them up!

Aren't they pretty? Here's what I did.

I used the banner background and stamped it with some "Wet Cement", added some twine/brads/sequins for the glossy accented sentiment and popped the chicks up. I even added dimensional pearls on their cheeks!  :) Love the chicks with their party hats!

Supplies: Unity Stamp - "Happy Chick Birthday" & "Banner Moments" // Ink - Hero Arts "Wet Cement" & Memento "Tuxedo Black" // Twinery - "Pink Blossom"
