This beautiful butterfly is from the SMAK 05/15 kit "I am a work in progress".

Recently, I'm also into the whole distressed and yet colorful projects. Today's next card is all about that.

When I saw these wings in the Unity Stamp May 2015 Kit of the month "Spread your wings", I LOVE it! Well, seeing that my name is partially angelic -- angel wings has always been something special for me.

I distressed the background with a few inks and Dylusion ink sprays.

Then I stamped the wings with some archival (coz distress ink does react with water/liquid) -- then I spread some Golden glass bead gel onto the wings for that texture. When you first apply it, it's going to be white. Don't worry --- when it dries, it's clear! :)

Don't you just LOVE that sentiment and wings?

Being on Unity Stamp's Design Team is so much fun and I love that Angela (the owner) has plenty of great ideas.

One of her brand new ideas for our Unity fans is to create Quick Tip videos [under 1 minute] coz we know you all LOVE to do scrappy but sometimes, life gets in the way and not all of us have so much time to sit and watch lengthy videos.

Happy Sunday.

The weekend is almost over but the scrappy fun isn't yet!

Recently I've FINALLY gotten myself a set of the coveted Gansai Tambi watercolor from Japan. I bought the 36 color set because the metallics in it are just so YUMMY!

For today's card, I have used the BRAND NEW Stamp of the Week by Unity Stamp (more details HERE).

For my background, I have used my new favorite Distress Ink - Cracked Pistachio which I have also added some Vintage Photo to give it that distress look.

Then I stamped the new SOTW onto some watercolor paper and did the bright watercolor background using my new Gansai Tambi colors no.34 and no.139 -- for the feathers, I've used no.40 and my FAVORITE gold no.91. I also outlined the sentiment using no.50

I used the Flower treat cup and put some pinky glittery white buttons in it to match my sentiment from Unity Stamp's "Precious little one" kit.

This is my first time making a treat cup card and I am loving it!!

In the scrappy crafting world, we meet people from all over the world and walks of life.

Today, we are celebrating Debra's 1st year blogoversary.

Debra is a fun and encouraging person. We met online over our love for Unity Stamps and in helping her to celebrate - I made this card to send a little joy her way :)

I embossed the background with a butterfly embossing folder and spritzed it with some Prima color bloom sprays.

And the stamps are of course from Unity Stamp since we both love Unity stamps :)

This is from the April 2015 KOM kit "Who we have matters".

I stamped the butterflies on to the cardstock, then double stamped it to make it pop!

Do send Debra some love and pssssstttt.... I hear she has some blog candy and GIVEAWAYS too! :)

It's a brand new week and I have a brand new card to share with you.
Today I am sharing with you a gate card I made for my DT post over at SVG Attic's blog -- for a cute boy's birthday that is coming up.

I have used the SDS Ready for Take Off kit which is just perfect for boys (and men too)!

I have found some paper which was perfect for this coz it had airplane motifs on it. I used some unconventional colors of green & orange and it turned out wonderfully! :) I also added some enamel dots to the clouds for that extra texture.

The best part about this card is the propeller can actually move! Perfect for the birthday boy to have fun with his birthday card.

I used some Webster's Pages papers for the card. The sentiment is from Miss Kate Cuttables and I added some doilies/flowers for that dainty look.

I spritzed the background using some Dylusion sprays then stamp the bird on top!
I also colored around the bird with my Gold Wink of Stella pen. It is quite shiny in real life, I promise! :)

Happy weekend everybody and HAPPY Mother's Day to all mommies who are celebrating.

I wanted to share a baby mini album I made quite recently for a customer. She wanted pink and mint green hues (which are so pretty), so I gathered my supplies and made this for her!

I made lots of flap pages and space for journaling and for all the cute baby photos.

Here's a sneak peek into some of the pages I made for this album.

A waterfall page is always great to put more photos and memories in! :)

So glad she and her friend liked the album a lot! :)

Father's Day is NEXT month but hey, it's never too early to make Father's Day cards right? :)

I have two masculine cards to share with you which I made using Scrap-n-Crop's Kit of the Month.

I love the colors of this kit, coz it's not just plain ol' boring dark colors. It's colorful but yet awesome for guys!

I layered the pieces and popped some up using some foam adhesive. The sticky alpha letters are perfect for that extra pop!

Here's my other card where the 4x6 card is just awesome by itself, that I didn't really need to add more to it.

I added the flair button for the dimension and stapled the papers for the masculine feel.

Since the cards are pretty colorful already, I made envelopes with a very neutral color.

Happy Mid Week!

Just a few more days to the weekend, so hang in there. :)

Today for Inspiration Time over at The Cutting Cafe blog, we are to recycle and reuse! What a fun idea Regina had.

So I got a cereal box that I was about to throw out and made a photo frame!

Yups, I handmade this for my hubby. Since he loves cycling, I showcased his awesome bike here and made him his very own "show off" display :)

I used the Bicycle Background set & Cameras Everywhere Background Printable set -- which I printed on some patterned paper. Then I embellished it with a simple sentiment from Heidi Swapp, a die cut piece and some enamel dots.

So, let me show you my quick process on how I made this frame.

First up, get a cereal box and cut out these 3 pieces:

+ The frame

+ The backing piece

+ The support piece

Next, get some patterned paper and begin to WRAP! :)

As you can see, it doesn't need to be perfect.

Finally, just piece everything together and you are done!

For the support piece, I added 2 buttons and some twine to it to "limit" the opening so that it will be able to stand upright.

I am sharing a card I made for my DT post over at Unity Stamp blog using the brand NEW Kit of the Month for May - Spread your wings.

If you have not seen this kit, head on over HERE and see how awesome it is.

When I saw these roses, I knew immediately what I would make with it.

I stamped the roses onto a white cardstock and colored them in using some Dylusions ink sprays for that vibrant watercolor look. I also added pearls coz I am making it as a wedding card for a friend! :)

Don't you just think that the roses are so pretty? :)

I love the poodle that comes with this kit! I tied some pink twine around her neck and added a bling too. :) Added some flowers to the card as well for the extra pop!

I did some flocking to her wings and I absolutely love the Bible verse included in this kit. The background I embossed it and sprayed it with some Prima Color Bloom spray in Summer Sky.
