So I first stamp and colored the cute two peas stamp by Tierra Jackson with Copic markers. Then it's time to get the glitter on! I am using lots of Nuvo Glimmer Paste [Blue Topaz, Pink Opal, Tanzenite Lavender] with a The Crafter's Workshop stencil [Fish Scales]. Watch the video to see how pretty the glimmer paste is!

Hey scrappy friends :)

It's that time of the year again where the amazing Amy Tsuruta organizes this awesome Summer Coffee Lovers BlogHop for all crafters, coffee (tea/chocolate) lovers!

Kat Scrappiness is one of the Super Sponsors, and as you may know, I'm in her Design Team. So, here's a card I made using products from her store!

Since the theme is SUMMER, I decided to create a beach scene for our hot unicorn here -- holding a cuppa coffee of coz! This stamp is from the Gerda Steiner Moody Unicorns set. I colored it using my copic markers. Then it's time to create the beach!

I die cut the "sand", sun and birds using the Gina Marie Designs Stitched Sky dies. The surfboard is actually a water splash from the Kat Scrappiness Seal with Ball scene dies. It's fun that it could be re-purpose as something else! I also added Kat Scrappiness Sequin "Madison Avenue" to the beach.

Then I inked up the sky with Tim Holtz Distress Oxide "Broken China" and added some water splashes to get the oxidized spots. The sentiment on my card is from Unity Stamp KOM 04/16 "Without Fear Without Limits".

For this card, I used the stamp "Meant for Adventure" kit. I stamped it on some white cardstock and colored it in using my Copic markers. Then it's time to create the starry diamond sky! Also using my Copics (you could use other markers as well), I chose a dark grey and blue color to ink up the sky. Then I grabbed my Nuvo Jewel Drops in Sea Breeze and "dotted" the sky. This will also act as the adhesive for the diamond bling. If only I could show how shiny the card is!

For my next card, I used the "Friend in Me" kit, which is SO SO cute, don't you think? I stamped it on a white cardstock then colored it in using my Typo watercolor pencils. If you like the sketchy look of the colored pencils, you can leave it as it is. But I went the extra step, and blended it all in just using plain water and a brush!

I know the techniques are simple, but hey ... who said that life (or scrappy) needs to be complicated?

We are so excited to announce the addition of our first ever exclusive clear stamp sets! One that is perfect for interactive papercraft designs and one that is an adorable Giraffe. I made a simple shaker card using Lola the Giraffe and lots of fun elements from Kat's store, so here is the step-by-step on how I did it.

I first foiled the patterned paper from the FOILables - Toner Graphics with Thermoweb Decofoil (rainbow) using my Heidi Swapp Minc machine. It turned out so pretty, don't you think? 

Then it's time to create the window for my shaker card. I die cut the rectangle frame using Kat Scrappiness Double Stitched Rectangle die; which I then carefully cut into size. I also cut a piece of acetate the same size and adhered it to the frame. I then put a border of foam adhesive around the whole patterned paper -- thin enough to hide behind the frame.

Then here's the FUN part --- Fill it up with lots and lots of pretty Kat Scrappiness sequins! I am using Neon Barbie, Neon Summer and Sun-Kissed. I also adhered some sequins to the foiled patterned paper, so that even when you don't shake the card, pretty sequins will be "floating" :) Once you're satisfied filling up the sequins, adhere the frame/acetate to the foam border to seal it up.

Finally, all you need to do it to decorate the front of the card. I stamped Lola the Giraffe with Memento Tuxedo Black dye ink and colored her with my Copic markers, then fussy cut her and popped her up on the heart I die cut using Kat Scrappiness Double Stitched Heart die. I also die cut the "Hello" Brush Script word with some gold foam glitter. I wanted to add the "Let's hang out" sentiment, so I die cut a part of the Kat Scrappiness Sign Post die set then stamped the sentiment on it, which fit perfectly! I adhered everything down using Ranger Glossy Accents.

I was looking at my Instagram feed and noticing lots of succulent creations. So, I headed to my scrappy room and took out my Unity Stamp Succulent Salutations [June 2016 Sentiment kit] to make a succulent creation of my own!

I did a few layers (and colors) of embossing here. First I did the succulents in gold, then the sentiment in black and finally the tiny succulents all in the background with clear embossing. Once that's done, all I did was swipe a few of my Tim Holtz Distress Oxide inks on my craft mat, spritzed it with water and smooshed it on my card! :) To avoid getting your colors muddy, don't over mix the colors and do dry in between layers.

Then I cut the kraft patterned paper with Kat Scrappiness Double Stitched rectangle die, and inked the edges of my card base with Versamagic Gold ink. I also added some Nuvo Pale Gold crystal drop and Nuvo Sugared Almond gloss crystal drop.

I am sharing my card on Kat Scrappiness blog today, using the beautiful Waffle Flower Stitched Roses stamp set. I love layering stamps coz they are just so much fun and it turns out so beautiful. Plus, I cannot cross-stitch and this just gives the illusion that I can :)
