For the longest time, I have been wanting to do a card using some hexagon shapes and today I finally did it! A CAS card perfect for someone who loves green :)

Today's card is inspired by two challenges.

First is from CAS(E) this Sketch challenge #12. It's my first time joining their challenge and I must say, CAS cards are pretty fun! I've always loved the idea of clean and simple. Here's the sketch

The colors of the card were inspired by The Play Date Cafe Challenge #166 - A Splash of Retro PDCC166.

It is Splash week, where the challenge was to use Black, White & Emerald Green.

Who doesn't love the colors right? :)

Also submitting this for Deconstructed Sketch no.86. :)

Supplies used: Sticker & Ribbon (Amy Tangerine) / Sentiment (Unity Stamp)

This week for FWF, I played with my Faber Castell Gelatos and created this rainbow background!

If you have not tried Gelatos, you have to! It's acid-free pigment sticks that glides on smoothly. Crayon-like but if you add water, it's like paint!  What I did was just to draw it on - add water - and use my fingers to blend it in.

The butterfly and the sentiment are from the October 2011 KOTM by Unity Stamp. I added some  dimensional pearls and twine to it.

This card is also inspired by the Pinspired Challenge #2

Have a happy weekend ahead!

Supplies used: Stamps (Unity stamp) / Gelatos (Faber Castell) / Twine (Divine Twine) / Dimensional Pearls (Ranger)

Ever since scrapbooking, I've never made a 12x12 layout. I am always drawn towards mini albums and cards instead. Since I started Project Life this year, it was an opportunity to start making some layouts - since I had the 12x12 binder. It may be quite intimidating with that much of space at first, but I find it, interesting... and somewhat, addictive. More layouts to come?

So, here's my first ever layout. I love the picture taken so much I just had to give it a full page. :)

Supplies used: Paper/stickers (Echo Park & Studio Calico & Webster's Pages) / Washi (Freckled Fawn)

I seem to be on the roll making cards this week. Well, it's always fun to spend time in my scrappy room and get crafty. So here's what I came up with today!

This card is inspired by two challenges.

First up is the sketch from Deconstructed Sketch 85

Next the colors were inspired from Play Date Cafe challenge #165

It's my first time joining their challenges and it's always great to be inspired by other crafters.

I'm also linking this up for the Unity Stamp FWF which is on every Friday with all my Unity pals.

Eat cake and be happy! Have a blessed weekend

A few days ago, I found out some great news that someone is expecting their first child! So I made this card - well to congratulate them and to "encourage" them to have more :) oh, cheeky me!

This card is inspired by two challenges. First up is the "Use 10 Embellishments Challenge" in the Moxie Fab World 75 Creative Card Challenges Week.

Second is the "Use washi tape" challenge at Simon says stamps.

It's my first time participating for both these challenges and how fun it is to challenge myself to work out of the box.

Hope the couple likes the card :)

Supplies: wood veneers (studio calico & freckled fawn) / washi (freckled fawn)/ distress stickles (ranger)

I am starting my first ever Project Life this year as I begin a new phase of my life too. I love the idea of documenting each week of our lives - being able to look back when the year is over.

So I bought the Clementine core kit to start it all off. But then came the Seafoam core kit which was a mist have! So against all odds I got it and here I am with two kits . My plan was to mix both for year 2013 & 2014. Boy was I wrong when I saw the latest kits. I love Kraft, honey and jade editions! That's for 2014 to ponder on

Meantime, here's my cover title page for 2013. ;)

This week I am doing my first paper piecing :) This owl is just perfect for a noob like me. Love the outcome ;) Cute, don't you think?

The owl is from My Little Shoebox Unity "You Always" and the iPhone and heart bubble is from the kit "Modern Chit Chat". I also glittered up the heart with distress stickles and added faux stitching around the paper (all from MME). The tiny sticker is from Crate Paper.

Hope you like my card this week :)

Have you seen their new core & mini kits?? A-MA-ZING!! I am feeling a wee bit of 'regret' for buying 2 core kits for 2013 & 2014 (I was too too quick) but nonetheless both Clementine and Seafoam are amazing kits to begin my first ever Project Life.

So, what are the kits available this May 2013? Be ready to feast your eyes on stunning kits made for all!

I am in LOVE!!! I definitely love the Kraft, Honey and Jade the best. Midnight edition is also awesome!

These are the awesome designers who came up with the designs above.
