Recently, I have been dabbling into the mixed media world and starting my own art journal. But before I share with you what I've done.... I have some BIG BIG news!

YES!! I made it to my first ever Design Team on Craft Lovin' Challenge Blog! So I am officially designing for the blog with different themes every month. EXCITED!! :)
(Thanks to Tabitha & Julie for bringing me into such a lovely group of wonderful crafters. )

This blog is a NEW challenge blog and there will be a challenge every 2 weeks. And when there is a challenge - there are always prizes to be won!
The Design Team hostesses are Tabitha's Designs (you can find her new shop here -- brand NEW digi papers and digi stamps -- really fun stuff that can be won in the challenges!) and also My Crafting Channel.

The FIRST ever challenge will start on 1st June on the blog .. so, do join us for some really creative projects and a chance to win PRIZES! For more updates, you can like their FB page too.

***

Ok. Now onto my mixed media scrappy. Here are my first 2 pages on my brand new art journal.

I've used Faber Castell Gelatos on the background and used lots and lots of Unity stamps on it. The music notes is Kaisercraft. I also used doilies to soften the look :)

Here are some close ups on each page.

Don't you think Angie Girl is just gorgeous??

I also used my brand new Faber Castel Pitt Pens to doodle on the pages. There is no rhyme or reason for this. Just some doodles .. my first one too! :)

Have an awesome weekend ahead! Don't forget to join us on 1st June at Craft Lovin Challenge blog :)

I have a cute card to end the weekend... ever wish that you had more time to scrappy or enjoy with your loved ones or just lie on the couch and be a potato?

A simple CAS card for now. Next week I will show you what I've done on my art journal. Yups. I am entering into the world of mixed media! :)

Hope you have an awesome week ahead!

It's FREEBIES weekend again! Sorry I've not been doing this for a few weeks - but am just wondering (with a quick show of hands) how many actually like FREEBIES weekend? Do you? Coz if you're not - I may not be doing this every week as planned. Please do leave a comment if you like this. :)

Today, I have some free digital stamps for you. It's all the craze right now, especially if you do not have the space for actual stamps and they can be really expensive (I know first hand coz I spend quite a lot on rubber stamps *guilty*). So, here are some I found that's quite pretty!

1. Cute girl digi stamps by Bodil's scrappeverden

2. Birthday digi stamp set by Free Vintage Digi Stamps

3. Cute animals/robots digi stamps by SheryK Designs

4. Bear Alphabet digi stamps by Cre8tive Hands

Have a scrappy weekend ahead!

It's a pinky day here at ScrappyScrappy!

I've used all kinds of washi tapes & glitter tape to create this card. I just cut the tape in different widths and pasted it randomly to make it look like tiles. It doesn't need to be perfect, so don't get too worried about aligning it. But if you prefer it perfect, you could use a ruler as a guide. The sentiment is from Unity Stamp also stamped in pink :)

Here are some close ups.

This card is totally inspired by a photo by Pinspired Challenges. I love the pink colors and the tiles at the bottom. It's gorgeous don't you think?

Have a pinky day ahead! :)

I've been doing quite a few mini albums recently - and this is special, coz it's entirely made out of canvas! :) This is an album I just completed from the Crop & Create class I recently attended with Iris Babao Uy.

I am using the Prima - Donna Downey Fabric Canvas Album which comes with plastic protector inserts. What I love about this album is, there are plenty techniques used here and lots of yummy scrappy embellishments. Here are the insides!

And here's the back cover :)

Hope you enjoyed my mini album! :)

Today we celebrated my nephew - baby Zac's 1st birthday and I made a mini album just for him - to remember all his happy times with his mommy, daddy and little sis.

Blue, red and white - perfect for a baby boy!
Here are the insides (without the photos of the recipient)

Lots of pages for lots of memories!
I did add photos and more embellies when I was done - and was super happy that the family liked it! Hope baby Zac likes it too when he grows up :)

It's May and it's flowers away!

If you have not tried any masks/stencils, you should! It's so versatile and lovely to add to any of your scrappy projects.

Today I have used a Prima mask and inked it with distress ink to make my card. The sentiment is from Unity Stamp {moment by moment}

Did you see the mini album I made filled with flowers and colors?

Click here to see the pages inside.

Thanks for visiting. Have a happy weekend ahead! :)

Hello everybody! :) Today I am guest blogging for All That Stickles for Tips & Techniques Thursday. This is my 2nd time doing this and I am more than happy to share the "Altered Stickles Alphabets" technique with you.

Do you have stacks of alphabets - wood veneers, chipboard, foam, fabric - lots of it laying around? Some probably in a long forgotten corner? Well, it's time to bring those out and Stickle them :)

Here's a card that I made using this technique.
`

You can not only make cards, but other scrappy projects too. Here I've altered some alpha with Stickles for my Project Life weekly title card.

To see how I did the "Altered Stickles Alphabets" technique, do visit All That Stickles and check it out :)

Remember the mini album class I took a while back with Iris Babao Uy? Well, I've finally completed it and I'd like to show you what I've done :) And it's not actually quite so mini - it's about 9" x 7.5".

This album is full of colors, layers and textures. I've done some fiber paste, misting, colored with Pan Pastels and embellished away.

Here are the insides! :)

Please feel free to leave a comment if you have any questions or something to say about my mini album :)

Tune in this week for another mini album that I'd like to show you and I will be guest blogging for All That Stickles.

Happy Friday!!

Today's card is inspired by Unity's {be inspired} challenge and a perfect card for my dad for Father's day :)

I pleated a ribbon with some glossy accents with a flower-button as an embellie. Then, added washi and stamped some of my favorite Unity stamps onto white cardstock. Don't you think that mustache is so cute? :)  I also stitched the borders with my brand new sewing machine! Super fun!

I based my card on the color challenge & card challenge sketch. I love green and this was perfect! :)

Hope you have an awesome weekend ahead!

This weekend is the time to celebrate mothers. If you are tight on time, it's best to grab a card kit and make a card from there. That's exactly what I did - using the Basic Grey card kit here. All I did was follow the instructions and added some embellies/stamping of my own.

Here's the close ups

Have a great week ahead! I'm off to catch up on my Project Life.
