Oh my, how time flies right? 

It's already mid-year and today I got a little busy in my scrappy room, churning out some cards and NEW VIDEOS for you coz, the NEW release from Unity Stamp is just FABULOUS!

Many of you have been requesting planner stamps, and so -- your wish has come true!

(Pssst, planner stamps are also great on cards too!)

Let's just get started and off to the cards and videos for today.

For my first card, I am using the BRAND NEW Planner Gal: Be a Beauty -- which is SO SO Pretty, don't you think? I stamped then colored her with my Prima watercolors [Pastel Dream]. I decided to do some partial embossing using my Tim Holtz Sizzix embossing folder [Texture Fades] and then colored it using my pretty Nuvo Mousse [Peony Pink, Aquamarine and Indian Gold] by just using my fingers. It is so metallic and shiny in real life!

For my next card, I used the NEW Planner Gal : Don't be Perfect stamp, and stamped her onto some Bazill kraft cardstock. Don't you think she is so cute?

 Then I decided to use my Kuretake Gansai Tambi [starry colors] watercolor and just paint the entire card in GOLD! Coz seriously, who doesn't like Gold? :) 

These watercolors are just pure heaven! SO SO shiny and metallic.

Psssttt, did you know that all the sentiment kits are on sale this weekend?

Here's a card I made using the brand NEW July 2017 Sentiment Kit: Hugs, Kisses & Birthday Wishes -- just check out how cute the owl is with all the balloons!

I colored him in using my Copic markers, then I decided to add some glitter to the balloons using Tim Holtz distress stickles dry glitter [Clear Rock Candy]. This glitter is just AMAZING!!! It is so glittery, and looks like sugar frosting on a cupcake. I used the Thermoweb iCraft mixed media adhesive to apply the glitter onto my card.

And for my final card, I used the NEW Planner Gal: Love Them stamp and colored her in with Copic markers. For the background, I was totally inspired by all the bible journaling ladies out there -- I had to try it out for myself too! I used an old gift card (you can use a credit card, a membership card... any card!) with some Tim Holtz distress paints [Wild honey, Spun Sugar, Mustard Seed, Cracked Pistachio]. I just scraped the paints onto my card and wa-la!! :)

So, on to the CARDS fest! :)

Here's my first card for the hop.

Using the Remembering you blooms stamp set, I colored it with Copic markers -- using some pink, peach and purples. I left some of the whites of the flowers without coloring it to highlight it even more ;)

For my next card, I took the challenge to color in her pleat skirt!

I stamped Phyllis Harris pretty girl from the Simple Sophistication kit, and colored her in with Copic markers. The image is so pretty , no matter how you color her it will turn out great :)

My next card is a card I've been wanting to make for so long!! A spinner (spinning) card :)

I took the cute bear from the Bear-ly enough kit and stamped him twice (so it's back to back). Then by using just a thread and some adhesive, I created a spinner card!

What?? We're STILL going on? Yups!! Haha.

Here's my next card!

I used Vicki Girl from Angie Girl's collection and created a dotted background using my Copic markers. I love her coz she's so funky cool!

And for my FINAL card...

I used Evelyn Girl, also from the Angie Girl collection -- using Tim Holtz distress paints {cracked pistachio, picked raspberry, shaded lilac} with Studio Calico mask stencil {bubbles} and Typo stencil/stipple brush.

PHEW!!!

The weekend is almost here and it's my 500th post !!

So I thought, let's have FUN and make something COLORFUL!

Since I've not done a layout for some time, here's one with a quick & fun technique on how you can make your very own DIY Customized colorful embossing paste!

I did the embossed stencil background with a Dear Lizzy 12x12 stencil, lots of Distress Inks & Golden Molding Paste.

After I was done with the background, I added a (rare) photo of us and filled it up with some Dear Lizzy project life cards and embellishments!

There's always a first time for everything, and when Caroline asked me to make a guestbook for her client I took up the challenge! ;)

Their wedding is this weekend -- with a rustic theme. The couple saw my hand-painted flowers over at my Instagram account @scrappyscrappy_ and loved it! They requested me to paint their guestbook.

After hours of painting and making this come to live, I'm happy it all came together!

Here's the wedding guestbook I made for them.

I am so glad they loved it!!

The weekend is almost over but the scrappy fun isn't yet! 

Recently I've FINALLY gotten myself a set of the coveted Gansai Tambi watercolor from Japan. I bought the 36 color set because the metallics in it are just so YUMMY!

For today's card, I have used the BRAND NEW Stamp of the Week by Unity Stamp (more details HERE).

For my background, I have used my new favorite Distress Ink - Cracked Pistachio which I have also added some Vintage Photo to give it that distress look.

Then I stamped the new SOTW onto some watercolor paper and did the bright watercolor background using my new Gansai Tambi colors no.34 and no.139 -- for the feathers, I've used no.40 and my FAVORITE gold no.91. I also outlined the sentiment using no.50

I stamped the big heart using Picked Raspberry Distress Paint dabber and for the splatters some Mustard Seed Distress Ink. For the butterfly, I colored the stamp in using some Distress markers - which I then spritzed with some water and stamp onto some cardstock for that watercolor look. I also used some guava pink gelato for the background.

Today I had the privilege to play with the Prima Paintables. You can get these at Scrap-n-Crop.com.  On their blog today, I am sharing a tutorial on how to turn these plain (but still pretty) Vintage sheets into beautifully colored sheets with two techniques! :)

My first technique is painting with a tinted gel medium mixture (using Golden's soft gel medium) which will create some texture and gloss.

And the second technique is painting with Distress Paints - creating a watercolor look.

I used plenty of things here. From gelatos, to distress paints & markers to mist. Then I used a stencil for the bubbles background & clouds. And of course, lots of Unity stamps to decorate the page. The house I had hand cut from a text page and the roof I punch out half circles! :)
